This brass crescent pendant began as clay. I first shaped the crescent out of clay and then cast the clay mould using the ancient sand casting technique, before polishing and hanging the crescent on a gold filled chain.
The organic shape and texture of this crescent pendant really satisfies me. I remember it was initially inspired by jewellery I saw when I visited The Museum of Pilgrimages and Santiago, Santiago de Compostela.
