This brass pendant has been made from recycled brass sheet metal and wire, using traditional metal smithing methods. I choose to make this piece with sheet metal instead of sandcasting because I wanted to create a hollow shape to make sure it is comfortable to wear, whilst designing something larger and solid appearing. I love the 3D-ness of this pendant, it feels powerful and strong and still has a reassuring weight to it. Of course it is decorated by spirals, and also individually made brass balls.
This pendant is strung on a dark orange velvet lace or on sturdy gold filled chain (45-50cm).
